Let's celebrate our senior's well-being
On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, the Let's Act Together march mobilizes thousands of citizens, older adults, and ambassador organizations to create a collective momentum for the well-being of older adults.
It is an opportunity to celebrate the fact that, every day, thousands of citizens and organizations are working to promote the well-being of older adults.
Let's build on our strenghts
Too often, aging is portrayed only through the lens of decline and limitation, with old age depicted in depressing and demoralizing terms. The Let's Act Together walk challenges this view, celebrating aging as a stage of life filled with strength, dignity, and possibility. This year’s theme highlights not only the resilience and strengths of elders, but also the professionals and organizations who stand alongside them every day.
Spokesperson Louise Deschâtelets promises a dynamic 5th edition, with activities such as sign-making, group singing, inspiring speeches from leaders in the elder sector, and a 3 km accessible route. The walk is open to all, regardless of age or ability.
Last year, more than 1,700 walkers joined the movement—this year, we expect over 2,000 participants to walk together in celebration and solidarity!
